Ramila

DHRC, January 25, 2024

Ramila has been working with Nepal Disabled Human Rights Center for the past three years. She is originally from Kavrepalanchowk, 80km from the capital, and was born with one hand. Ramila has a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, and lives with her husband in Kathmandu.

While working in the finance, Ramila came to know about the organization Forward Looking, which supports disabled people by providing training and work placements. She joined DHRC-Nepal as a finance intern for one year through Forward Looking’s on-the-job training scheme.

At the end of the internship, having demonstrated great aptitude, Ramila was internally recruited as a finance assistant, helping to manage different international projects. Now she is working as Finance Officer for the USAID Inclusive Livelihoods-Central Activity at DHRC-Nepal, overseeing overall financial administration.
